happen的用法有哪些？

happen / take place

它们都可以表示“发生”, 但是在用法上有区别.

1)happen常指具体事件的发生,特别指偶然的或未能预见的事情.例如：

A storm happened across the river in another country.

2)如要指事先安排或有准备的事情或活动发生时,通常要用take place.例如：

Great changes have taken place in our hometown during the past ten years.
