为什么莎士比亚说:to bo or not to be?
To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them?
... ...
生存还是毁灭,这是一个值得考虑的问题;
And by opposing end them?),也就是自杀,一了百了?
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer" 还不是一个完整的句子,必须和下文"The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles," 连在一起才有意义,全句意义就是朱生豪先生译的:"</WBR>默然忍受命运暴虐的毒箭,或是挺身反抗人世无涯的苦难,... ...
